Obama!

President Obama came to Ghana this past Friday and Saturday. He met with the President of Ghana, Atta Mills. He also went to Cape Coast, which is in the Central Region of Ghana to tour the main entrance and exit point during the time of the slave trades. After he finished his tour, he gave a farewell speech at the airport. Select Americans that are living in Ghana were invited to attend the speech. Peace Corps volunteers got to go in VIP and stand in the very front of the crowd. I pretty much was 20 feet away from him the whole time! One of the first things he started his speech with was a shout out to the Peace Corps volunteers, and he also ended his speech with it. At the end of the speech, right before he entered the plane back to America, he went around to greet the crowd. I got to shake hands with him, and not only with him, but also with Michelle Obama!
